Meet Our Partners: Intriciti

November 8th, 2016

In celebration of Canada's 150th birthday and the role of faith in public life, Intriciti will be launching Stories from the Boardroom. Each week, Intriciti will publish one compelling story of a business leader integrating faith and business and the impact that has made on their life and others.  Watch for a growing collection of stories that will be posted at www.storiesfromtheboardroom.com throughout 2017.

Created and led by Alana Walker Carpenter in 2004, Intriciti brings business leaders from compartmentalization to integration through five practice areas: special events, coaching, leadership development, roundtable discussions, and philanthropic initiatives.

"One such initiative," she pointed out, "is Bells on Bay Street.”  She created it out of a desire to share the spirit of Christmas with business leaders. The idea was birthed to her in the early days of her ministry as she and others struggled with the “market bells” dominating Bay Street. Alana coined the phrase “Bells on Bay Street” for the event for professionals to be mindful of the “church bells” and the need for spiritual rootedness in the midst of the hustle and bustle at Christmas." In 2014, Intriciti expanded the idea behind Bells on Bay Street to “Bells on Bank Street” to Ottawa.   Presently, Intriciti is identifying other cities of influence to expand their signature event.  A link to purchase a table or ticket for either event can be found on the organization's website at www.intriciti.ca

One of the most rewarding aspects of the work, according to Walker Carpenter is creating a safe space for business leaders to explore spiritual questions with like-minded individuals and to journey with these special corporate friends in significant life challenges.
