The Ahmadiyya Muslim jama’at (AMJ) is a dynamic, fast growing international revival movement within Islam. It was founded in 1889, AMJ spans over 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. Over a century ago, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be upon him), the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at he claimed to be that Promised Messiah who was awaited by religions of the world. He taught his followers to protect the sanctity of both religion and government by becoming righteous souls. He cautioned against irrational interpretations of Quranic pronouncements and misapplication of Islamic Law. He continually voiced his concerns over protecting the rights of all of God’s creatures.
